Project Overview

MEC’s electrical team worked with Charters Brothers Construction on all three phases of this project. As each phase was completed, various varsity sport teams moved right in to enjoy their new spaces! We were awarded Phase 4 of the project in late fall of 2025 as well which consists of creating the Ski Team locker rooms and work in the waxing & tuning room.

Throughout 2025, we helped create some amazing structures, brought life-saving healthcare units to life, and improved the higher education landscape with tons of new audio-visual equipment.

All three departments of MEC have a lot to be proud of for what we’ve accomplished as a whole over the past year, and we’re excited for what 2026 will bring!🎉

Part of our audio-visual team is back at Bunker Hill this week for more classrooms installs while the students are away for winter break.

We also have crews working at College of the Holy Cross, another repeat A/V client of ours, while their students are away from campus to improve the student learning experience. Some of the products we use to enhance these institutions include cameras, speakers, displays, projectors, microphones, control panels and video conferencing software.🔊

A little over a year ago, we completed the renovation of an old department store into a new Stop & Shop with two retail spaces also renovated within the building.🔴🟢

Our structured cabling and electrical teams brought this project to fruition by heading the electrical fit out, fire alarm system and integrated controls with the building management system.

After being impressed with the work of our electrical crew, the general contractor at our recent Best Ford project elected to bring on our structured cabling team for the low voltage aspect of the job.

Our A/V team recently had a request for a sound masking system at a local hospital which consists of the installation of these small, round speakers in the ceiling. 🔊

Sound masking is a revolutionary approach that generates a soft, unobtrusive background sound, often compared to the flow of air. This sound is specifically designed to mask or cover up human speech, making conversations less intelligible and thus less distracting. It’s a strategic addition to any modern design, not only improving privacy but also significantly enhancing focus and productivity in various settings.

Another commercial project is coming to a close!
Our electrical and teledata teams brought a new Ford Service Center to life with a whopping 27 bays on Amherst Street in bustling Nashua, NH.🚘

The project will be wrapping up completely in the beginning of 2026.

The new building is going up at our Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office project in Goffstown, NH.🛠️

This structure will house University of New Hampshire employees as an off-site office space. Our electrical & teledata crews are currently working right next door to construct the new Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and will eventually be transferring over to continue their work in this building.

As part of the relocation of a Diabetes Center to their new Boston site, MEC installed six new rooms with audio, video and video conferencing equipment for the local healthcare network.🩺

New MLC touch screen controllers were also installed.
