Throughout the month of January, our structured cabling technicians were at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, installing wireless access points on various buildings across campus.🛜

These “WAP’s” create a wireless network and broadcast a Wi-Fi signal for students and faculty to connect to all throughout campus. Wireless access points are essential at college campuses to keep online learning material easily accessible to students.

While the Holy Cross campus was quiet over winter break, the MEC A/V Team was hard at work improving classrooms by installing new audio-visual technology.🔊

Projectors and projection screens, displays, speakers and other A/V equipment were installed throughout various buildings on campus to improve the learning experience for students while being easy to use for faculty and staff. College of the Holy Cross is ready to start strong this spring semester!📝📚

The MEC Team had a great time at our holiday party last week at the Establishment in Chelmsford, MA. We were able to present our monthly All Company Huddle in person, enjoyed some great food and gifted some fun raffle items.🎉

Part of our audio-visual team is back at Bunker Hill this week for more classrooms installs while the students are away for winter break.

We also have crews working at College of the Holy Cross, another repeat A/V client of ours, while their students are away from campus to improve the student learning experience. Some of the products we use to enhance these institutions include cameras, speakers, displays, projectors, microphones, control panels and video conferencing software.🔊

A little over a year ago, we completed the renovation of an old department store into a new Stop & Shop with two retail spaces also renovated within the building.🔴🟢

Our structured cabling and electrical teams brought this project to fruition by heading the electrical fit out, fire alarm system and integrated controls with the building management system.

Our A/V team recently had a request for a sound masking system at a local hospital which consists of the installation of these small, round speakers in the ceiling. 🔊

Sound masking is a revolutionary approach that generates a soft, unobtrusive background sound, often compared to the flow of air. This sound is specifically designed to mask or cover up human speech, making conversations less intelligible and thus less distracting.
