Lowell General Structured Cabling Upgrade
Project Overview
MEC was contracted to design and build a complete infrastructure upgrade for Lowell General Hospital’s Saints Campus. Our team designed and installed new network rooms throughout the hospital and connected the facility via a new OM4 fiber optic backbone network. Once these rooms were completed MEC had the time sensitive task of installing a new Category 6A wired and wireless network. There were approximately 4,000 connections installed over a 3-month period without any interruption to the existing network. We followed strict Infection Control Policies to protect the patients and staff from any potential risks working above ceiling in an active healthcare facility.
