The MEC Electrical & Technologies team has been working diligently on various jobs in the southern New Hampshire area at locations such as the University of New Hampshire, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, and a new build condo complex in Portsmouth. As a part of our 25th year plan, MEC intends on expanding our electrical and audio visual expertise further into southern New Hampshire and the seacoast region.
The Swim & Dive team locker rooms at the University of New Hampshire received a makeover and gear upgrade assisted by a lot of hard work at our prefabrication shop. With Charters Brothers as the general contractor, this project has been chugging along on schedule and this phase of the project was recently completed in November 2024. Phase two is officially underway which includes three team locker rooms grouped into one project. After all the work is completed, the UNH Field House will have a total electrical upgrade and plenty of brand new locker rooms for the varsity athletic teams to enjoy for years to come.
Portsmouth Hospital and Access Sports Medicine Receive New Electrical Upgrades
Our Portsmouth Regional Hospital project was recently finished as of late 2024 in their ICU. This new construction consisted of a six-room intensive care unit from an existing shell space. Our team worked alongside DPR Construction as the general contractor on the project. After working in numerous hospitals around Massachusetts, we are happy to be expanding into Portsmouth – another hub known for excellent healthcare. A different healthcare related project underway is at Access Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Exeter, NH. Our team is working on a new MRI machine to help properly diagnose injuries, so patients get the right treatment that they need to heal.
Professionals in the Healthcare, Institutional, and Commercial Industries Since 2000
MEC has done extensive work in the healthcare industry since our foundation in 2000. We have assisted in the building of copious hospital and out-patient establishments such as auditoriums, dialysis centers, mental health facilities, cancer centers, and more. With plenty of reliable healthcare networks in New Hampshire and Southern Maine, we are looking forward to improving the electrical and technological infrastructure of hospitals in these regions.
Electrical Work in Portsmouth Continues with Two Commercial Complexes
Sage Portsmouth is a ninety-five unit condo complex located right behind Water Country! Consisting of one bedroom, two bedroom, and studio apartments, each space will be equipped with modern amenities and a spacious floorplan. An entertainment center, outdoor community area, pet grooming station, and parking will all be available for future tenants. This new build is being completed alongside Charters Brothers as the general contractor. Another ongoing multi-family space is Atkinson Heights located adjacent to the gorgeous Atkinson Country Club. This ground-up project started with Building One and expanded to being awarded Building Two, where construction has just begun. These projects add two more buildings to the existing condo complex. Our team enjoys working with Charters Brothers as the general contractor for this project as well.
