Over the past year and a half, we have had electrical crews in various buildings across the University of New Hampshire for electrical upgrades, fire alarm upgrades, and infrastructural renovations.🛠️

As we near completion of the fire alarm upgrades within the Paul Creative Arts Center and the final phase of the locker room upgrades in the Field House, we’re happy to look back on the improvements made across campus - all alongside Charters Brothers as the general contractor. Kudos to all team members involved in bringing these projects to fruition!👏

A cluttered teledata rack doesn’t just look unprofessional — it restricts airflow, traps heat and makes even the simplest service call take longer than it should. When cables aren’t labeled or properly managed, troubleshooting becomes guesswork and downtime increases.📉

These photos are before and after shots from a teledata project at Babson College a few years back. Clean structured cabling improves airflow, protects your equipment, and extends its lifespan. It increases serviceability, making upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs faster and more efficient. And it reflects the level of professionalism your facility deserves.

At the end of the day, organization isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about performance and reliability.👍

Is Your Building Future-Ready? ⚡️

The way buildings use power and data is changing fast. From EV chargers in the parking lot to increasing data demands inside the building, modern facilities need electrical systems designed to keep up. Planning for smart building systems, scalable teledata infrastructure, and energy-efficient LED lighting upgrades today can prevent costly retrofits tomorrow.

At the same time, integrating these systems early—during electrical planning—helps ensure proper power capacity, cleaner installations, and room for future expansion. Whether it’s preparing for EV charging, supporting growing network loads, or upgrading outdated lighting, future-ready infrastructure starts with thoughtful design.🏢

A security system isn’t just cameras and card readers — it’s the infrastructure behind it that makes it reliable. When your electrical contractor is involved from the beginning, your security system is designed with the proper power distribution, dedicated circuits, surge protection, structured cabling, and network coordination it truly requires. Without that planning, you risk overloaded panels, messy retrofits, connectivity issues, and costly change orders down the line.

By working with your electrical contractor from day one, you’re ensuring your building systems are integrated, scalable, and built to last — not pieced together after the fact.

⚡️Plan it once. Power it right. Protect it properly.⚡️

Old lighting isn’t just dim and gloomy — it’s more expensive than you’d think.

Outdated fixtures can quietly drive up:

 • Energy bills⚡️
 • Maintenance costs🛠️
 • Productivity loss📉
 • Safety risks🦺
 • Environmental impact🌱

In Massachusetts and New Hampshire, where energy efficiency incentives are strong, upgrading your lighting could save more than you think. If your system is over 10 years old, it’s probably costing you extra every single month!

It’s Women in Construction Week!👷‍♀️

Initiated in 1998 by the National Association of Women in Construction, this week was established to recognize and celebrate the vital role women play in the industry. From the field to the office, women continue to break barriers, lead teams, and build the future—one project at a time.🛠️

Part of our crew had a great time visiting the DPR Construction Boston office today for a Lunch & Learn meeting with their team.

These meetings are a great opportunity to educate general contractors or potential clients on the full span of our service offerings while also networking over a bite to eat.🍔
