The UNH locker room project wrapped up recently with the installation of the new utility feed and standby automatic generator for the Field House. Also integrated into this electrical service is two bypass switches for an emergency portable generator.⚡️

Shut downs to relocate existing equipment to the new service will begin shortly!

We saw some really creative ideas for our first ever MEC Pumpkin Decorating Contest.🎃

Our office staff showed their artistic side with this contest and voted for the best pumpkin with the winner being a tie between the Pumpkin Spice Latte and SpongeBob’s Party House!

This hybrid OR & PACU project at a local hospital was completed within the fast-paced schedule due to the hard work and dedication of the whole electrical team involved.⚡️

Both the general contractor and hospital staff commended MEC for their commitment and long hours spent bringing this job to fruition on time. We were able to sneak in for some photos during training while OR staff learn how to use the new space!

The Women Working Wonders Fund hosted their stunning The Power of the Purse Plus event last Thursday.👛

This annual event raises funds to benefit nonprofits focused on improving the lives of women and girls. In 2024, Women Working Wonders proudly awarded over $80,000 to various nonprofits to fund programs assisting women in transition, provide leadership development in girls and women, and more!

Rough is complete at this electrical project at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department in Goffstown, NH. Dispatch will be able to relocate starting in 2026!🚔

Also under this project scope is the fit out of another building going up adjacent to the new Sheriff’s Office. That space will become new offices owned by the University of New Hampshire.

The Columbia Construction & MEC Teams gathered for dinner at The Capital Grille last week to celebrate a successful completion of the OR & PACU hybrid project at a local hospital.🏥

Both companies worked diligently to get this project finished on schedule!

Today is National Boss’s Day so we’re taking a minute to highlight the President and Vice President of MEC Electrical & Technologies, Inc.

Bill and Debbie Lemos have been leading MEC for the past 25 years through economic uncertainty, a pandemic, and copious other ups and downs throughout the last two and a half decades. They face each problem head on and have grown this company from three employees in 2000, to over 120+ full time employees today. Bill and Debbie have worked very hard to get MEC to where it is today and we couldn’t have hit our 25 year milestone without them!🍾

This conference room located in Burlington, MA received an A/V upgrade with an Interactive 86” Newline Touch Panel Display and camera. With some neatly installed audio-visual work, our crew turned this room into a great collaboration space!📈📝

The renovation of Smith Hall at the University of New Hampshire is now complete!✅

MEC supplied electrical infrastructure for an upgraded plumbing system that services Smith Hall. In addition to this, there were small renovations to conference rooms and added site lighting. 💡

MEC was a Table Sponsor for this event where all proceeds benefitted the Emergency Department at Lowell General Hospital. A special thank you to our own employee, Alysha, who is on the Auxiliary Board for her part in putting this event together.
