MEC Electrical joins Bond Construction as the electrical contractor for the Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center and Surgical Pavilion which will open in mid September 2014. The 30,000 square foot facility across three floors is attached to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Needham. The cancer center and surgical pavilion will consolidate Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center’s west suburban cancer services into one facility. The full service cancer center will offer patients advanced imaging systems, six new infusion bays, a radiation oncology suite and access to clinical trials and novel treatments. The new surgical area will provide the ability for patients to have more advanced surgeries closer to home, such as cancer, colorectal, orthopedic, urology, otolaryngology and general surgery.
In order to make additional room for this project the Glover Café was relocated, which MEC Electrical also completed.
